How the survey works
Tag distinct species with narrow pulses while balancing energy and acoustic noise. A successful tag never harms or removes an animal. Nearby species can relay the echo for a higher-value research chain.
Controls
Aim with a mouse or finger and release to signal. Press F to deploy one quiet buoy, P or Escape to pause, and R to begin a new seeded expedition.
Responsible observation
Juvenile shoals and protected coral grazers are marked with dashed amber rings. Signalling them ends a chain but carries no score penalty; the game explains why the specimen should be observed instead.
