How to Play the Sliding Puzzle
Choose a 3ร3 or 4ร4 board. Tap any numbered tile directly above, below, left, or right of the empty space to slide it. Arrange every tile in ascending order, leaving the empty space at the bottom right.
Sliding Puzzle Strategy
Solve the top row first, then work downward without disturbing completed rows. For the 15 puzzle, place the final two tiles of each row together rather than one at a time. Plan several moves ahead and use the move counter to improve your solution.
