International Mahjong (国标)
How to Play
Four players use the full tile set: three suits (万 条 筒, 1–9 ×4) plus honors (winds 东南西北, dragons 中发白). Each player is dealt 13 tiles, then draws and discards one per turn. You may chow (吃, from the player to your left), pong (碰), kong (杠), or win (胡). A win is four sets plus a pair (or seven pairs). Unlike push-over rules, a hand must reach a minimum fan value to win — encouraging structured hands (all-triplets, single suit, all-honors, self-draw, kongs, etc.). The round ends on the first win; the winner is paid by the discarder, or by everyone on a self-draw, scaled by the hand's fan.
Controls
On your turn, tap a tile to discard it, or use the Self-draw / Kong buttons. When another player discards, Chow / Pong / Kong / Pass buttons appear (winning is automatic). Single-player is you vs three AI; multiplayer fills empty seats with AI.
Tips & Strategy
Because a minimum fan is required, plan a scoring pattern early — a single suit or all-triplets hand. Don't over-meld with chow/pong, which can strip your fan. Keep flexible shapes until you commit to a fan-rich hand.
