Math Chain
Math Chain
A starting number is shown, then a chain of operations flashes one at a time. Calculate as you watch β at the end, pick the final result from four options.
How to Play
Each round begins with a number on screen. Then a sequence of operations (Γ Γ· + β) appears one at a time, briefly. You cannot scroll back. Apply each operation to the running total in your head, and at the end pick the correct result from four options. Difficulty controls both how many operations appear and how fast: Easy is 4 operations at 1.8 seconds each; Standard is 6 at 1.5 seconds; Hard is 8 at 1.3 seconds. Each session is 8 rounds. Math Chain trains both mental arithmetic and verbal working memory in the same task β that pairing is what makes it harder than ordinary mental math drills.
Controls
Just watch the operations as they appear; calculate in your head. When the question mark appears, click or tap one of the four answer buttons. The correct option flashes green, a wrong pick flashes red, then the next round starts.
Tips & Strategy
Don't try to memorize the operations β apply each one immediately and forget the previous step. Sub-vocalize the running total: 'twelveβ¦ eighteenβ¦ nineβ¦'. For Γ and Γ·, work with round numbers when you can: Γ 4 = double then double, Γ· 5 = double then Γ· 10. If you fall behind, commit to the current total and skip catching up β partial credit beats panic.
