How to Play

Checkers is played on an 8x8 board using only the dark squares. Each player starts with 12 pieces. Regular pieces move one square diagonally forward. You capture an opponent's piece by jumping over it diagonally to an empty square beyond. Multiple jumps in one turn are allowed and captures are mandatory. When a piece reaches the far row, it is crowned a king and can move diagonally both forward and backward.

Controls

Click or tap one of your pieces to select it, then click or tap the destination square to move. If a capture is available, you must take it. For multi-jump sequences, the game will prompt you to continue jumping after each capture.

Tips & Strategy

Try to advance your pieces together rather than sending one piece out alone. Control the center of the board for greater mobility. Keep pieces on the back row as long as possible to prevent your opponent from getting kings.
